Invidious

Well lately I have been in a very good mood
hamdulillah. But of course life enjoys punching us in the face every so often which may kind of mess things up at times. Ever since I read that article (previous post) it got me so sad that ignorance is spreading all over the place. Is ignorance like the new air that everyone is breathing in and taking on? It makes me so sad in school when I see the most intelligent of kids that make such radical..outrageous..ignorant..and sometimes just plain stupid remarks. These kids could be so much better if they just opened up their minds a little and let in some other information, could you imagine a world in which everyone understood each other and accepted each other?
For us in New York, just look at the rallies that have been taking place in these past days because of the police shooting and killing of 23 year old Sean Bell. I applaud all of those people who are speaking up against the shooting and I’m glad that they’re not stopping until they are content. It shows the power of unification, the power of going after what you believe in, the power of going after just justice. If your are one of those people who believe the police are justified and that the people are rallying for nothing well then put yourself in the shoes of the family members, put yourself in the shoes of the friends, put yourself in the shoes of the soon to be spouse of Sean Bell. Can you imagine what you are going through? If you say yes then that is just a lie, because it is pretty much impossible to know what any feeling, physically, mentally or emotionally that someone else is feeling unless if you are actually experiencing it.

Yesterday in an IB meeting, the coordinator (Storch!) brought up the topic of kids in the world suffering. I probably brought this up before but this I will always bring up because the biggest concern of mine above all, are the children of the world. The fact of how people sell there children off to do do Allahu Alaa(God knows what), the fact that the people sell there children so they can get food, and the fact that people have the nerve to steal children so they can get money or so they can get what they want is so disgusting! He was mentioning how we have to get involved and how we should get involved in something that will impact the world. What’s sad is how people sit on there butts and nod and say ‘Oh that’s so sad’ instead of getting up and actually doing something about it. I love how the United Nations has this list of a million things that they say will get done but who are they trying to fool? If anything they should start by improving the problems that the many children of the world are facing. Go to China and see how children are being killed or how they are being left stranded. Go to Darfur and, well just look at a couple of the pictures of kids in Darfur and see what they are gong through. Go to Palestine and see how the kids are over loaded with fear. Go to Iraq/Lebanon and see how the children don’t feel safe anymore. Go to Kashmire and see how the children are livign in the tents without any parents, or how some of them are supposedly being ‘adopted’ when in fact htey are beign forced to do work and having the worst life styles ever. Go to anywhere and there are children with problems, more problems than you can ever imagine.
Well that was a load of who knows what but I just had to get that off my chest. I’ll probably ramble again tomorrow about how my teacher today said that Islamic countries lack science…? Yes well that will be another time because I have to finish homework. Please keep me in your du’aas, and du’aa that I get accepted to SUNY Stony brook because i really really really want to get accepted there inshaAllah.
